As an Instructional Media Specialist (IMS), I serve my campuses in the library and with the use of technology for instruction. My hope is to integrate both with classroom instruction to ensure that our students are provided the necessary 21st century skills to be successful now and in the future.
Library Hours
Monday-Friday: The library opens at 8:00 for student check out.
Monday & Tuesday: The library is open after school until 4:30 for check out.
Teachers may sign up to bring their class to the library for research or check out using the Outlook calendar.
Students may come to the library at any time during the day with a pass.
Circulation Policy
- Students may check out five books at a time for a two week period.
- Students are responsible for returning their books on time and undamaged.
- Students that have lost books will not be allowed to checkout another book until the book has been paid for or returned.
Nooks are Here!

Along with Kennedy and Fannin Middle Schools, Adams has been given the opportunity to pilot a program using Color Nooks from Barnes & Noble. Students with clear library records (NO overdue books) may check out a Nook for one week. They can use it at home or school. We want to encourage all students to have a permission slip on file so that they can check out a Nook. Those students without permission slips (or who have overdue books) are NOT excluded. They may come to the library before school, after school, or during the day with teacher permission and use a Nook in the library. The Nooks can be used for a variety of tasks including reading, listening to audio books and music, and using the Internet. Students may use the Nooks at school, but must follow school rules regarding their use at acceptable times. Click here to download and print a permission slip.
